Glass half empty - looks like none of the EBR's will be in the serious running at the worst track for them on the circuit.
Glass half full - Geoff's best qualifying time and position at Daytona and, I believe, the best qualifying position ever for For EBR at Daytona (If I remember correctly, Danny was 9th last year and Geoff was down at something like 12).
Go Geoff, Aaron, Cory and Dustin!
Depressing weekend for us, but some interesting things going on for other riders.
Hayes looks like he hasn't lost a step, but he's in a hole now. He doesn't have much room for error now and it will be interesting to see him riding from a position in which he's not in control from the start.
The Sportbike field seems to have completely turned over and - say what you like about the AMA management - the Superport class seems to be developing some real talent.
And how about this? 20% of the top 10 Daytona 200 finishers were women. That's an interesting and refreshing surprise.
Daytona is not very friendly to twins but both Aaron and Geoff were turning respectable lap times and a good first race for both
I love fast women and it was great to see them finish 9th &10th in the 200 1 of the girls was recovering from a broken leg
