Somehow I picked up a small nail/tack right in the center of the rear tyre... Thought I'd ask if ya'll have any strong preferences over stock replacements? I run Pirelli DRII's on my XB12 and I don't track either of the bikes but I do hit the Smokey and Blue Ridge Mtns on occasion!
That's worse than asking what oil should I use!

Get the stickiest tires you can afford to keep replacing.

X2 on Rocky Mountain for tires and parts. I've been buying from them since the 80's.
I just got a set of continental SportAttack 3's on my bike. I feel more comfortable with those over the stock pirellis.
Get a high mileage tire like the Pirelli Angel GT or Pilot Road..
