That's neat!
That's neat!
Anyone know where I can find that windscreen, I really like that clear one.
The windscreen was probably a one-off piece for that project bike. That size and shape of windscreen can be easily adapted from a lot of different bike's screens, or even aftermarket screens for that matter. It looks like it needs a better mounting system though; not very tough looking at speed with just a couple expansion well nuts holding it in place.
It'd be nice if someone from EBR was cruising these forums the way some other manufacturers do. You would think they would want as much info getting to people as possible. I think people are scared away from the lack of part suppliers and lack of voice coming from EBR. Are they just trying to move the inventory of bikes they have or are they trying to make a brand for themselves? I would be all over social media and forums of i were trying to launch a brand.
They're trying. I'd just give it some time.
I understand this, but everyone that I have talked to about my bike is turned off by the lack of everything as they make a come back. Parts is one thing and support being the other. No one I have ran into is going to even consider looking at one of these until that changes and I've actually heard a lot of negative comments on this just because no one has any idea about anything ebr without them putting info out there and being available for questions on places such as this. The other issue here in Wisconsin is people want to avoid action powersports like the plague, so at least where I am from people have a negative association with the only dealership selling these. And it's not just action powersports people avoid it's that whole dealer ship group (cedar crooks, fuel powersports etc). So while I like the bike, so far 30 or so of the people I see riding aren't ready to even consider an EBR until that changes.
I caught a lot of flack on the Facebook group for this, but I really have no patience for the complaint of lack of parts or service. I'm not directing this at you recon, because you have one, but to those who bitch about parts as the reason they won't buy the bike - they probably shouldn't have own one.
If you can't be resourceful enough to come up with a solution for a perceived problem, (bikes, or anything else in life) I really have no sympathy. If I wreck my bike and need parts, I can go to LAP. If LAP wasn't available, I could buy parts through eBay. If that wasn't available, I could buy a used parts bike. If that wasn't available I could have a metal part fabbed up or buy a 3D printer and create a part myself. If that wasn't available, I could still get creative. To my father or grandfather this would just be an assumed thing. If I needed to rely on someone else to have the parts sitting on a shelf waiting for me or a warranty to fix it for me, they would agree that I probably shouldn't be riding period...or on my period, because they would assume then that my father had three daughters instead of two and one son. Lol
