Yikes, How often do you replace the rotor? What are the signs that it needs to be replaced?

Pretty often if you are on the track. I go through 2-3 a year. You can tell because the rotor just won't stop like it's supposed to.

What makes the rotor fade with time? I don't understand how its frictional properties change with use?? Have you tried sanding the glaze off them?

That's the full front rotor mounting kit. Has everything you need to install a new rotor although the rotor is a separate piece, just for clarification. New bolts, top hat, base, washers, bushings, etc.

I can see the rotors fading because of hard braking and heat.

Anyone have an old one i could blanchard, get some kind of new surface put back on and try it?

I'll have one soon enough. They often come out of service in pretty bad shape, though.
