    Lean ?

Does a dead stock EBR run that lean, when at start up and idle the front header glows red ?

    Yes it does.
But not so much at idle. At least not bad enough to hurt anything. At driving speeds, of course, this is why the "race" ECM's are available. It's not just for "racing", they get the engine running closer to where they "should" be...if the EPA would allow.

The glowing header is the lack of ignition timing. Simple combustion physics.

    Better -

While my header tubes are wrapped, so I can't see them, with the "race" ECM, everything is better, even the idle is a "little" different. Well worth the money.
