    valve shim warning ⚠

Hey guys, when doing the adjustments, make sure to NOT leaving the cam followers in the valley BETWEEN the valves while rotating the engine manually with a breaker bar. A counter weight block on the exhaust cam shaft will come along and crack your follower. Now I have to get the cam block off the head to slide the follower off its shaft,oh JOY!

I just got the rear cylinder checked myself. No adjustment required..!
Gotta let my shoulder rest (broken collar bone) a day or so before I tackle the front.

Not looking forward to putting the airbox base back in place...

    Thanks for the heads-up.

    Mike

ID:	741 the best Thanksgiving,to remove the cam follower WITHOUT loosing valve timing, take hydraulic chain tensioner screw plug out, remove 8 cam block bolts ,that will give you enough room to lift the blocks over the location dowels ,then slide the idle side block out. See attached pictures
