    1125 clutch springs in 1190

question- I am doing the reduced lever upgrade kit to my 1190 RX- but the kit came without the new reduced effort springs. Does anyone know if the 1125 springs will do the job- i.e less effort all things considered...?

    TIA!

Like the kit came, without the lighter springs, the kit will still reduce the effort of clutch pull. It will only be slightly higher pull rate with the stock 1190 springs than with lighter springs, and as an added benefit to the clutch, the heavy springs will hold the disks together better.

    What buell-fan said.
Man-up, give your hand a good work out, build some muscle, leave the as designed springs in the clutch. Otherwise, "stay off a dyno, stay out of the canyons". That last statement is directly from the EBR guys before they closed up.
It really isn't that bad..! I drive mine in 30/40mph freeway traffic daily...with all stock clutch parts.

I picked up a couple of sets of the Barnett springs to replace the reduced effort springs since my clutch slips under a load in 6th gear.

If this helps anyone, I checked my stock clutch pull with a quality spring scale and it took 28 lbs to pull it to the grip and 18 lbs to hold it there. I installed a Oberon CLU-1125 slave only and it took 17 lbs to pull it to the grip and 10 lbs to hold it there. I did use DOT 5 fluid when installing. I have always used it in all my clutches ever since I have had Aprilia's.

If this helps anyone I checked my stock clutch pull with a quality spring scale at the end of the lever it took 28 lbs to pull the clutch lever to the grip and 18 lbs to maintain the hold. I installed a OBERON 1125-CLU slave cylinder and it is now 17 lbs to pull it and 10 lbs to hold. I also used DOT 5 . I use DOT 5 silicone in all my clutch systems after having Aprilia's they require frequent bleeding. It is safer on paint and it has smoother action and stays clean in the slave cylinder.
