    Showa Race Shock for Sale

As soon as parts become available I am going to need a new dash, so I am going to sell my Showa shock. I am not sure how to determine the spring size but mounted spring is for ~ 180# rider. I also have a second spring, black with a red marking. $550 plus shipping.

Stock spring rate on that shock was 575#.
EBR also offered a 550 and 600 spring for it.

I might be interested depending on what that second spring is rated for.

I cant see any markings on the springs. The only identifiers I see are a white stripe on one, and a red stripe on the other.

This would be one of those instances where it would be nice to have EBR back so I could ask them. Let me see what I can figure out.

I asked one of the engineers. This is the response.

550 lb per inch came on the shock from us.

Works for 99% people we ever sold them to. Absolutely no need for a bigger spring with DOT's. A superbike caliber rider might need a 575, but that's a 1%er level rider

I'm 99.9% sure that the shock came with a 575.
    From the EBR website:

Yet another great value from EBR. High and low speed compression, rebound, and ride height adjustable.&nbsp;<br>Kashima coated body and valved for successful track duty.
The shock comes setup with the 575 lb/in spring.

**edited to say that there was NOT a typo in the EBR website listing. I verified this information with a former factory racer as his crew chief.
