Cool! That should give them some serious backing and Erik maintains control. I've always thought it was a great fit since the two companies are as opposite as can be.
I hope they're working on a good middle-weight engine because Hero needs it to sell to a US market and EBR needs it to offer a lower-cost, higher-volume bike.
I strongly suspect that this deal and a 600ish engine have been in the works for quite some time.

How much cooler is the real story now?
Production won't be in Canada, it will be in East Troy. The engine won't be a Rotax, it will be an EBR. Erik won't be hiding behind BRP, he'll be in charge.
We had to wait a while, but EBR is now poised to do things that we could have only dreamed of 3 years ago.
