On the street I seldom even use my brakes, the engine braking does most of the work. I have been surprised about just how long a set last!
My local track is all fully gassed or full on braking, 230kmh to 30kmh, 255kmh to 80kmh , 180kmh to 60 kmh all in 60 odd seconds. My pads had 0.07mm left and a blue rotor after 1000 road kms and one track day. I just purchased some SBS 586 ds pads . Keeping in mind my last bike hade Brembo monblocs with carbon pads , the EBR is on par as far as feel and power go but concerned with heat build up effecting overall performance and durability.

Track sounds like it is a real workout! I know you will be pleased with the performance of the sbs 856ds pads, heat has not been an issue for me, no fade. I do bleed my brakes often also, use Motul 600. Like to get some feed back on how you like the sbs pads.

SBS DS pads will greatly help with wear during track use, with much better bite.
    mackja has the right combination.

Will do, even having 4-5mm on the pads would have made a big difference. I'll have the SBS on next time so will get back to you .

They are a little hard to get here in the states, European sites have them, and Australian sites show them also. sbs just opened a new USA office in Illinois, talking with Chris Jensen (heads up US office) sbs will be bringing more race product to the US.
Now that EBR is back, I am sure the pads will be available again shortly through EBR dealers. http://ebutik.nccr.se/ebr-erik-buell...ake-pads-front

I got some EBC pads while my SBS pads are on order. These are no good for track/race bike. They worked OK for about 3 sessions, then turned to wood... I could pull the lever until it bottomed out. Had a large amount of build up on the rotor so that I could barely rotate the wheel when I pulled in.

Ok, i did 2 x half hour on track sessions this weekend at my track . This was an Australian Superbike test day before the next round , so were some fast guys on track. I bedded in a new set of 856ds pads and impressed. No lever fade , not grabby and plenty of power. I'm using a Brembo rc19 master cylinder too. These are every bit as good as the Brembo monblocs with carbon pads on my Ducati.

Maybe that's not the brake pads, namely in the RCS19 master cylinder?
I had three motorcycles with Brembo brakes, they slowed better and more predictable than ZTL.
In my opinion, ZTL-brakes are not good. They're unpredictable, with vague feedback. I feel I can go faster than allow me to ZTL brake.
With these brakes, I'm afraid to go fast, because when sudden braking is necessary to use both brakes, which often leads to lock both wheels. The bike starts to dance beneath me.
First I run of stock brake pads, and then replaced with Braking pads. It was better, but not much. This week, I change it back to EBC pads.

SBS DS pads are definitely the way to go on the EBR for heavy track use.
These are what the AMA guys and WSBK guys were running.
