What's the low down on brake pads ? Track orientated please, as I dont feel the std ones are up to it . Are there carbon pads available, and does anyone know what the sbk guys were running ?

Put ferrodo HH on mine, never looking back, so much better feel, held up pretty well at the track yesterday, too.
The best pads period are the sbs 856ds race pads, stopping power is amazing, you can one finger it in most situations, and they ware like iron, problem is they are hard to get right now, I have been in contact with sbs and they are working on getting more of there race products here. Nissin 2015 would be the next best pad again little hard to find.
Thanks , i'll start looking . mine were worn down to 0.7mm , guess that was why they were failing.
What are folks using for rear pads? Are they same as the 1125?
Rear pads are the same between the 1125r/cr and the 1190rx/sx. There is a variety of stock pads available from EBC, DP, sbs, performance friction, etc....
American Sportbike sells a good selection.
Thanks, wanted to make sure. But now I'm thinking about doing the brembo caliper swap.
Stock front brake pads have served 3,800 km. They have been replaced by Braking. After 1500 km of run from them remaining half.
All this bike so consumes pads or just me?
EBR 1190 RX
I managed 1000km and 1 track day . OEM pads
I put 21,000 street miles on my 1125r only changed the pads once, 4,000 track miles on two sets, still on my second set, sbs ds pads are pretty amazing, now I am not super fast but I am no poke either, I run fast intermediate pace, moving to advance group probably in Sept-Oct time frame.
On the street I seldom even use my brakes, the engine braking does most of the work. I have been surprised about just how long a set last!
