For example, I have yet to see a Laguna Blue SX that was a "USA 49 state" model! I am also seeing what may be color trends as they are built on the mfg line, but I need much more data! Additionally, there were reports of early duplicate VINs, though I have only confirmed one in which the same sequence# was used but the "target market" digit differed, which I was not expecting. Thanks!

This is a 2016, correct? Do the numbers restart with each production year?

Does anyone know how the numbers work generally and/or more specifically with EBR?

Or did they restart with the new company and will continue counting up in upcoming model years?

Each year the build number starts over again, and there is one set of numbers for the RX and a another run of numbers for the SX (there can be a RX with 001 and an SX with 001). The year just changes the 8th digit.

Not sure about the 2016 LAP owned EBR bikes. I think they go by a different format, but I'm sure someone can chime in with that.

Good point. Once confirmed as a 2016, I will modify the OP to accommodate both years.

    Thanks.

Thanks! That's a great explanation. Very interesting.

As you can see by the final digits, these are mixed throughout the line. All of these bikes have a build date in July 2014.
Good info. You had two VINs I hadn't seen before. And there were several VINs for which I had previously put as a "?" for the 12th digit, but with your info, they changed to a "3" :)

We may have a conflict for VIN 126:
    546BBAG22EE300126 (your data)
    546BBAG22EE000126 (my data)
I had this VIN as a Laguna Blue SX crate bike being sold by Besser's Bike Barn (ebay "theodditorium") in Sauk Rapids, MN. Does match your records?
If not, then they are probably two separate bikes- the 12th digit being what prevents it from being a duplicate VIN. (I have several similar cases)

That's an interesting way to ship.

    Congrats on the bike!
