    1190 RX Total Production Number?

Hello all. Like many, I am a new EBR owner interested in knowing how many exist. In particular, how many 1190RX bikes. Since there are apparently no credible sources at this time I am proposing we each post up the last 4 digits of our VINs and see where we end up. If the mods will let me continue to update this original post, I will periodically update the posted numbers here. Thanks in advance for your participation!

I have asked this in multiple locations with no response. I am number 37 and yours is the highest I have seen. This is the first time I have seen a number over 200.

I just picked up #302 in Houston last week. I've been a member of the Aprilia forums for a decade, owned all brands of bikes except Buell - until now. I couldn't pass up a brand new RX for $9,995. I will be racing the bike in CMRA for a few events this year and next year. If anyone can give me a tip on where to source a race ECM, I would greatly appreciate it!

When it was announced in late 2013 that the RX would be competing in WSBK, the rules required that 1000 bikes be made available for sale to the public within a certain time frame, I believe by the end of the 2014 WSBK season. I believe it was further broken down that something like 150 bikes had to be ready by the opening of the WSBK season, and there may have been a couple more milestones. They didn't have to have all 1000 bikes completed before they could enter competition. I do remember a news article showing WSBK officials inspecting the initial production run at EBR's factory and giving them the blessing to compete.

The complication to this is that BiMota got the rules changed so they didn't have to produce so many bikes to enter WSBK that year. Whether that was applied to EBR's production run, I don't know.

It'll be interesting to see what serial numbers show up.

UPDATE: I found the article I referred to above-

    http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/popu...denies-bimota/

The article is dated 13 February 2014. At that time, EBR had just completed 125 1190RX's and met the homologation requirement as certified by FIM officials. The article further says they had to produce 500 bikes by 30 June 2014 and 1000 bikes by December 31st. I don't know if they met those additional milestones or not.

UPDATE 2: I found another related article. According to this one, the rules were revised later in 2014 so that only 250 bikes had to be produced in the first year and 1000 (total) by the end of the second year of competition. That doesn't really give us much of a clue as to how many EBR produced in total:

I'd be surprised if the number was over 500
