I have not tested the 1190 system for sound. It's VERY similar in volume/tone to the 1125 system I build though, that was 98 db at idle, 110 at 4500 rpm. I think they were only 3' away though when testing and did not do a ride-by. It didn't help that the exhaust was pointed directly at the mic when they tested, some systems were not built that way and appeared to be quieter when in reality they're not.

Laguna has a 90db limit on bikes. Anyone know how loud the stock pipe is? I've read the newer Ducati and R1 get black flagged cause of noise. Doing a track day there next week. Also Sonoma has a 103db limit, hopefully that won't be an issues with dean's exhuast. 110 at 4500 is very loud but can't imagine your exhuast being that much louder than all the other aftermarket exhuast out there. At the end it's all relative to how the noise is being measured. I know I won't be doing laguna days after the exhuast swap fingers crossed no issues at other tracks, Sonoma is only 1 hour away.

Pretty much any bike can blow the 90dB limit at Laguna, if not with the pipes then the intake noise. Trick is to stay far left away from the sound booth, and keep RPMs low until clear

You will smoke that 103 limit easily. I have an RT-3 on my 1125r and it's easily the loudest bike in the entire paddock on race day. Nothing comes close.

Dean makes a good system, but really, *all* systems on these bikes are really, really loud. The D&D was notoriously obnoxious. Even the stock 1190RX exhaust is pretty loud when you are running it at track RPMs. Dean's new longer pipe with the rear facing vent would be the one to go with if you want it anywhere near stock loudness.

Interesting, my exhausts on its way should have next week right before thanksgiving. I guess I'll find out for myself very shortly.

The track day providers say aftermarket exhausts are fine.

"Sonoma Raceway and Thunderhill (103dB): Tolerance for noise should not be a problem unless your exhaust system is defective. Bikes don't need numbers."
