    Pick up my 1190RX tomorrow

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I'm picking up an 1190RX tomorrow morning. I had a couple quick questions maybe you could help me out with. I'm not new to riding but this is my first sport bike so please excuse the stupid questions.

    1. Any advice on breaking in the engine?
    2. Any one installed a tank pad, I wanted to see what one looked like before I stick something to my very new, very expensive bike.
    3. Has anyone tried tinting the windscreen yet?

    Thanks

I just followed outline in owners manual for break in. Just don't chug motor. Nothing below 3500 when moving in gear. I made a custom belt gaurd. Click image for larger version.

ID:	262 as for tinting windscreen, I thought about and passed. The clear windscreen flows so nice with clear headlight that I couldn't do it

It's going to be strike yellow, that's a sweet custom belt guard. How did you make it?

Printed a logo in the size I wanted. Laid it behind a sheet of light smoke tail light tint. Cut out and laid on tank. Allowed to dry for a few days. Then cut out a sheet of clear paint protector for cars. Laid that on top and worked out all bubbles.

Congrats Bro.! Only advice I would have is keep an extra close eye on your chain tension, and go somewhere and really bed in your brakes. I'd tell you to have fun but that'd be like telling a fish to stay wet!

Thanks for the advice, I think I'm going to get myself in trouble... she just wants to go. Did anyone have a problem with the fuel light always being on even though the tank is full?

Ah... no... definetly needs to have the dealer look at that. Should be simple as unplug the battery and reset ECU.
