Wow, really?? ^^^ I didn't even think too look there. Thanks for the great info EBRRider:)

What a great example of how EBR is taking great care of their customers. I'd hate to actually know the number but after owning approximately +/- 20 Buells (some bought as a basket case) I have never been let down by the suppliers, dealers (for parts) or especially the owners. IMO we're an opinionated, quirky, weird bunch of freaks, that really go out of our way to help each other out.

My EBR sucks!! It wears out my rear tire really fast and has horrible fuel mileage lol..

but it I did smoke a twin turbo corvette a few nights back on the freeway.. he was not happy about the situation.

I jk. I love sooo much. When this thing blows its guts out the front cylinder I will pop a 1125 in it and run the dog piss out of it.

Been lusting after an 1190sx. Was gonna settle for an 1125cr (I've had one before) was scared away by the maintenance schedule, parts availability and mechanical help if I needed it. Now you dirty bastards got me second guessing myself.

Is there a viable fix for the cylinder issue (i know of the iron lining) not sure if that's a possible issue with all EBR's (a design flaw) or just a certain run or hit or miss. If I am able to pick up an SX.... I'm not going to have an extra few grand to throw at engine repairs

The common denominators for the very, very, few piston/rod failures are track days plus power mods. Either modify it for more power OR track day the crap out of it. Not both. You'll be fine.

If you want a race bike, buy a race bike. If you want more than 185hp, you can buy a bike like that too. The three people posting in that sleeve thread are a bit overzealous. IMHO. You'd be better off getting one of the (legitimate racing) RS engines off e-bay and putting that in, rather than spend thousands on just some sleeves in a stock engine. Maybe I'll feel differently if I send a rod out of the case. Whatever, I'll still call the insurance company and order another SX/RX to be delivered to me, before I even get home
