Behold My Windscreen Hack for the SX

Ok so I figured out a windscreen solution I can live with. EvilRX pointed me to this windscreen
… which looks like the alien queen we all cringe at. But the hardware is legit.

It looks like their out right now so do some searching for that product… I’m sure it’s out there.

and I found this windscreen, but the hardware is weak sauce. The wind pressure at highway speeds and up causes the mounts to rub on the painted/colored plastic
bits on the headlight assembly. Hard pass on the hardware. But that screen tho.. legit.

Put em together and you have something I can stand to look at and useful. I hate windscreens on a naked. But at speeds over 130 It’s kinda necessary.

I had to play with the hardware to get it to work and drill two holes for the mounting brackets. Solid screen and good hardware. Color me pleased.

Clever! Best looking solution I've seen so far. Nice work.

How many miles are you going at a time over 130mph? The windscreen may be less terrible than others but its still terrible. By the end of a season I'm pretty comfortable cruising at 90 for extended periods without getting a sore neck. Its such an awful bike on the super slab anyway, Id consider getting a commuter to rack up the boring miles and keep the SX for the fun days. If its a short trip just tuck in a little bit and deal with it for a few miles if you have to do 130.

You really aren't looking for opinions and I get that. Thanks for sharing the product, but damn I just couldn't let it go unsaid.
