    Octane and timing

Just wondering what the octane recommendation is for the 1190RX and if the timing can be adjusted.
I know some sports bikes recommend 95 octane but the fuel stations around here only have 93. This makes me wonder if I can reduce the timing to compensate for lower grade fuel. Or, is it possible to run Ethanol ?
    Thanks for any help.

It requires 91 octane. Timing is not adjustable.

Why not? Ethanol is a very effective way to raise octane.

The ethanol in E15 commercial gas is more filler than fuel, mileage and performance are better on pure gasoline than the stuff they force us to buy at the pumps.

Does anyone know if the RX is tuned for E10 ?? I know on my Mustang the Ford factory engine calibration targets stoich at 14.1 instead of 14.7 since E10 is pretty much the standard now and 14.1 is correct for E10.

    Thanks guys
My 2.3L turbo Ford (Tbird) was made in the 80s. Its not uncommon for some to add less than 1/4 tank to a full tank to increase the octane.
I repeat a "MIXTURE / less than 1/4 tank" of E85 to a Full Tank of standard fuel. I not saying its safe, I've just read about people doing it. I've done 1/8 mixture before. I didn't have any problems.
E85 will dry rubber seals that are not meant for alcohol. Also, fuel injection has to be reclibrated to dump more fuel on E85 systems thats why fuel economy suffers.
