What happened to the user that was developing the brass chain guard? I did a quick search here and can't find it. He posted on Badweb as well. Seemed like a good idea, but was before I'd purchased mine, so I didn't jump on it then.

Here's the thread on Badweb: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buel...tml?1479059592
and here's the thread on this forum: http://ebrforum.com/showthread.php?1...ghlight=Bronze
Looks like he hasn't posted on either forum since last year.
A brass slider would be super neat and cool to look at.. I think the original slider is cheap toy plastic, we need to make it out of that hard dirt bike plastic sliders. I have more miles on my dirt bike sliders and they pretty much ride on the slider at all times and they are less chewed up than my EBR one. And I am real anal about chain slack and torque specs.
Changing the type of plastic is no problem. I need to look at one to see if I can mill it at home. If not I'll see about the 3D printer and Cnc manufacturing. Injection molding probably won't be an option for the type of polymer we want
So this is the new one sent to me by EBR. It is NOT the same as mine that came on my bike it is a more rigid polymer. Attachment 1514
And the chain ride part is thinner in width
I didn't get my micrometers out and check just at first glance
