Yeah they just pull right out. In fact one of mine pulled itself out 2nd time out.

Yes, those just pop in, same as all the Buell XBs , You can pry them out with a screw driver, just do it slowly work your way around it not to damage it.
Easy way to get them out if you are discarding them and don't want to damage the bars prying them out: Drill a hole into the end and put a wood screw in them and pull them out working it side to side to loosen it.
