    42 rear sprocket

I've read issues with the 44 and having two 4th gears instead of 6th. Plus traction control issues but, not really read anything about a 42 rear sprocket. I'm more curious about the traction control? What affect does it really have? Will the race ecm fix both issues?
Sure if I dig into the forum I could find the answers but I'd appreciate a faster answer... see EBR has 42s left n wanna support them, even if vortex made them ....

im not after a wheelie monster , but would like a little more pull and figured a extra tooth would maybe get me there

The stock ECM is supposed to support 41-43 tooth rear sprocket, you should be good to go. Frankly my bike shows the wrong gear sometimes with stock ECM and gearing, although only momentarily.

I run a 42 and I like it, especially in the city. It did change my indicator though. The stock ecm can be easily fixed by the manufacturer, IDS, by sending it in to them. I run the race ecm because I change exhausts, sprockets and tunes a lot, so it is easily changed and well worth the extra $300.00 dollars.

IDS can change the gear indicator in my ECM for a 44T sprocket for $50 plus return postage.

Blackhawk, heavier traffic and slow corner turns makes the 42 nicer than clutching or lugging the motor using the stock 41. The 42 is a bit more torquy as well. If your not into loosing a bunch of top end speed the 43 would also be a nicer compromise. The 44 is a torque monster all the day long, and has the ecm's tuned for it as well.
