Anyone know is the dash software needs to be upgraded to use the quick shifter or will the race ECM be all that is needed? I ask because currently when I go to the live data section of the dash menu, it doesn't show any sidestand switch. Which is where the quick shifter connects.
The "old" dash can be updated to include the quick shifter, but the race ecm has the quickshifter ability as a plug and play feature so it doesn't need to be sent in to EBR. I don't know why the dash and race ecm are different with respect to utilizing the shifter, but I do know that having the race ecm makes life easier when changing gearing, pipes and tunes, rev limits, etc. The dash shouldn't have to be upgraded even if you have the race ecm.
