    Drive chain

Has anyone put a 44T rear spocket on? I have one on my Tuono & it much easier to ride on the street. I got away with the stock used chain & then got a 2 link longer chain when I needed it. Will I need a longer chain on the EBR because it will go from 41-44 teeth? My Tuono went from 42-44 teeth.

44T sprocket works great, you will need a 120 link chain, I will recomend the EK ZVX3, it has the highest tensile strength of any 520 chain on the market. I use one on my 1190rx track bike, and have had to adjust it twice in eight track days, has held up really well, you can find a good deal on ebay.

I've had exceptional luck with this chain and my 43 sprocket.

Another member here recommended it. I have only had to adjust it 2-3 times in the last 4000 miles compared to the OEM adjustment every other ride.

2014 1190 SX with race ECM, DA tips & stock 41T gearing, I'm getting approx 10/11 mph idling speed in first gear. I'm wondering what idling speed others are getting with the 43 or 44 tooth sprocket are getting because, well, filtering/lane splitting through dense SoCal traffic is not only beneficial but is now legal.

It was never illegal. Therefore it was always legal.

Gearing is based on ratios, so idling in first gear only changes by just less than 1 mph going to a 43 or 44 tooth sprocket. A 43 tooth will allow for longer chain and sprocket life (because of the odd tooth count number).
