Cheers guys, I'm going to have the fork outers anodised black next winter. Still have another modification to come, I have a machine shop making head stem bearing holders that will give me one more degree of rake(23.4 degrees).
I spoke to one of the guys from the Pegasus race team in Europe and they ran .5 to 1 degree change of rake at times track dependant.
I like to experiment with suspension set up, as do most of us.

    Lightbulb

I'm considering doing the same thing with Ohlins from a Duc 1098 S.

Wouldn't it have been easier to use disks that had less dish out, than it was to machine the hub ?

Have a line on a Dymag with ceramic disks that would bring the weight down .

    Will use Brembo Monoblocks.

The reason I machined the wheel hub which wasn't difficult is that I had a set of wheels and discs already from having owned Aprilia motorcycles, good luck on your build.
Please post some pics of your build when convenient.
    cheers.

Ducati 1098 S Ohlins fit , but was 1 mm smaller at the top.

Didn't have any .020 / . 5 mm shim stock, so machine an aluminum tube with .5mm wall thickness.

Used 110 springs for my 220 ( in leathers ) rider weight.

Original springs in the Ohlins forks were 100.

Disks need to be spaced to 4.950 Inch outside to outside to fit within calipers.

Good looking bike, gold looks good against the red. Nice work.
What rear wheel did you fit and what modifications were required?

Have you done much riding to see how the dual disks feel in comparison? Are they more linear and less "grabby"? Can you feel any difference in handling (particularly over irregular surfaces) from the slightly higher wheel weight?
