    If I am running a Race ECM Deans tune, is the solenoid operational ? I do plan on removing it soon any way.

    No, not with any programmable ecm tune. You can simply unhook the cable from the throttle linkage and tape it back to itself, or finish by taking off the two bolts holding that heavy sucker on the bike. It's a 15 minute job.
