Installed the Ohlins damper and set to the lowest setting (I'm not track riding and don't expect head shake on the street).
Steering was transformed into the nimble and light feeling bike I expected.
So far the ol' Hammerhead is delivering all the goods - no complaints.
I made the same change, and agree totally! The OE one was more for looks IMO.
I looked all over my basement and didn't find anybody named Cooter...
Are you still track riding? I've read a lot of good posts from you.

Ya, still doing a ton of track days (Bubbles and I are both on staff now). Had the 1125CR out recently but it has been awhile for the EBR:whiver:. Since we started racing CRA full time here on the West coast, I've spent most trackdays on the Ninja. That is about to change though! I just picked up a SWEET '09 XB12SS that fits perfectly in the American Air-Cooled class so i'm prepping that (EBR brakes/Radial MC/quickshifter) for later this year
