What did you change your rear sprocket to? I want to know what is the most popular now. Anyone know if 45 or 46 will work with the stock chain?

I THINK 44 is the go....
Mine's a 44.
But we'll see what others have run!
What did they change the black lightning to? 44?
If you put a 45 or 46, better add a wheelie bar too!
Yeah, thanks for the input. I did some research and using a 45 would make the gear ratio almost identical to one of my other bikes that has great street manners(also has less power), but if everyone else using a 44 says its a wheelie machine, I might step it down to 44. I also don't want to throw out my brand new chain yet, so if a 45 would require that it makes my decision much easier.
I was told that you can get away with a stock chain but it will shorten the wheelbase as you have to move the adjusters all the way forward. I have a couple of 44s(Now Now stop those dirty thoughts!) for it & now that it has about 3500 miles I figure it might work & I can save the chain for when I need it.
My Tuono came with 16/42 & I went to 44t & love it. It helps in traffic & I live in RI so top speed is not a thought.
Still have my red 2003 Tuono. First year. That is my Italian Mistress! But the EBR SX can run circles around & seems to be better balance. Tuono seems top heavy compared to the SX. But it's better for touring type work.
