Insurance weirdness
Has anyone else here had an issue with their 2016+ EBR VINs not "showing up in the system" when attempting to get insurance? When I added my EBR to my existing progressive insurance policy, they told me that they were unable to verify the VIN, so all they will offer is liability. I initially insured it prior to getting a title, all I had was the Certificate of Origin which I suspect may have contributed to the buffoonery...anyone else experience anything else like this or have I somehow bought (from a dealer) the only counterfeit EBR in existence?

I have Progressive as well, but didn't have issues with them finding the VIN. Mine is insured with an "agreed upon value," ask about that.

You stated that you initially insured it prior to getting a title, I did that with one of my other bikes and my carrier told me the same, It was cuz DMV did not have the VIN in the system as of yet, once titled got full insurance.

That's what I was hoping. Thanks

It was cheaper to get a whole new policy for my EBR vs putting the EBR on the existing CR(that was sold) policy.

I had that too. I had to call them up on the phone.
