I was born in North Dakota in 1957 (Eisenhower was president), raised on a farm, and attended a one room country school with no running water (outhouses are no fun when it’s 30 below and you’re 6 years old). Got my first motorcycle in 1971 (Nixon was in office). I went to trade school for electronics and have been working in the military and aerospace industry in the Phoenix area for 39 years. I’ve owned about a dozen bikes over the years…dirt and street. My “mid-life crisis” bike was a ’98 Softail…heavy, under powered, loud, and poor handling. I’m really pumped about my 1190SX…American made V-twin, powerful, light, and nimble. Guess this is my “bucket list” bike! Thanks to everyone on this forum…if it weren’t for you and knowing support was out there, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. Hope I can give something back.
