I've been waiting for 650ib to put this video up. Great interview. Thanks for posting it Hughlysses.

You're welcome.

Erik quote of the day:

It's not a cell phone, it's a freakin' motorcycle!

This is what it's all about. If you can watch this without wanting one, you probably already have one . . . or don't really like motorcycles.

2nd video from 650ib; he takes his new EBR 1190RX out for a ride with Erik Buell and EBR employee Mike Kirkpatrick on their 1190SX's:

Really liked the 1st ride video. EB is so enthusiastic about his bikes, it's hard not to want one! Liked that 650ib rode both bikes, and gave his opinion on them both as well. Can't wait for my own SX to be delivered now!

So Erik's using wider bars? All he needs now is a fairing with some wind protection and some hard bags.

Great video. I'm really glad he made that.

My only two cent comment is I couldn't care less if they ever have auto-blip downshifting. Manual blipping is seriously simple and I really don't think it's worth the cost. It's not like heel-toeing. Even then, screw autoblip. Not for me. Bad enough they need to figure out ABS.

Quickshifting is a different story.

I want those taller bars. Looks like Pro Taper, but which ones? I wonder if there is enough slack in the stock cables?

Just bought mine today from Griffith Cycles in Chattanooga. 2014 1190SX in Red. Should be delivered to my house in NC this Saturday.

Question; how are the warranties being upheld on New old-stock 2014 bikes?

They are not being upheld from my understanding although I bought mine in September last year during the receivership. Then again this could be all different since you bought yours under new ownership.

If this is not true and something else applies to all the bike, please let me know.

The 14's and 15's do not have a warranty unless it's 3rd party.

I was informed by the owner of the dealership that the new 2014s have a 1 year parts warranty, but nothing for labor though since EBR is working on getting certified techs to actually service the motorcycles with the recent revival of EBR/Liquid Assets partnership. I will probably call someone at EBR directly to verify this though.

When I purchased my 15 I was told that the warranty for the 14's and 15's did not exist.

That's correct.

I guess the dealership could offer the parts warranty on their own, now that parts are available from EBR again, but everything stated publicly by EBR since the re-opening confirms no warranty on pre-receivership bikes. You might want to check back in with your dealer to clarify.
