So I broke down and bought a 2015 from LAP. I pick it up at the factory next week. I hope nothing is wrong with it, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

The VIN ends in 052, so I think that means bike 52?

I've owned quite few bikes, this will be my 5th in the garage, but one is in pieces so it doesn't count. ;)

Cool choice. Post up some pics when you pick it up! They are awesome machines. As far as anything being "wrong with it," some bikes have had a few bugs to be worked out. But proportional to the bikes produced, there seems to be very little "wrong" with the EBR's, and nothing that can't be fixed easily enough.

Well in terms of "wrong" I just hope it isn't a lemon since I will have no recourse, but by car and large i've found motorcycle warranties to be rather useless in general...i'll post pics when I pick it up. Hoping I can meet the man himself, he wrote the foreword to my book at the end 2014 before stuff went bad.

Checked out that book review; I need to get a copy of that, it looks like a useful read for me.

Full disclosure, it's a business book with some motorcycle content.

Picked bike up today at the factory. Had a nice chat with Erik and Bill Melvin Jr. Rode bike around the block a few times, but no license plate yet. Arguing with my insurance about cost. 861
