I hope to try out a 1190SX soon, but looking online, the seat is about two inches higher than my previous Buell low model. Is there any room to lower it (either in the seat or in the suspension)?

Thanks,
William

The bike really isn't that bad because the seat is more rounded. I am 5'7" on a good day. Effectively you can put the shock spring adjuster on it's lowest setting and gain about a half inch.

I had a XB with the low shock, then an 1125 stock height with Saddleman seat and now the RX.

I ended up buying the SX once I had a chance to sit on it. Even with the seat a little higher than my low model Buell XB, it fit me just as comfortably. Oddly enough, after riding for a while, the only thing I notice with the higher seat/tail is that I have to pick my leg up much more when getting off the bike or my pant leg will sometimes catch on the edge of the seat.
