The next action to do with the receivership of EBR is a hearing scheduled for January 14th. At this hearing, the judge will apparently listen to arguments regarding whether the sale of EBR to the liquidators, Liquid Assets, should be approved, or if the assets shall be sold as a "going concern", which was the intent of the auction.

If you'd like to see EBR continue motorcycle production, it's been suggested that it would help to write the court regarding the hearing. Here are a few points regarding writing the court that came from a thread on Badweb:

1- Use your printer or write neatly.
2- Make your letter short and to the point- the main point is that we'd like to see motorcycle production continue rather than the company's assets be liquidated.
3- Send a copy of letter to the judge AND the receiver and note this on the letter (apparently if this isn't done your letter is automatically tossed out without being read).
4- If you're from Wisconsin and particularly Walworth County, mention that in the letter.
