I'm pretty stuck on my Nolan N-102/3 modulars. I love their chin-strap - buckle not D-rings.
Superb in winter as you can put the helmet on and take it off wearing heavy winter gauntlets.

However I just picked up an AGV K4 EVO so I can run the Colorado Mile later this week.
The AGV is half the weight of my Nolan, much quieter and a smaller shell(less of a sail in the wind).
The Nolan is only DOT while the AGV is DOT and also ECE 22.05.

I wear the HJC RPHA ST.

I had the RPHA Ben Spies first edition and really liked it, so I got the street version...

I've got a few NEXX helmets, love them, so ridiculously light weight and look great.

Most important factor is not brand, its the FIT. You want a helmet shaped like your head.

I have a great helmet selection, Arai Profile, Scorpion, Shark, AGV TiTech, Nexx carbon, Bell rs born free, Bell Star, Bell Star carbon Laguna Seca WSBK edition
HJC 3/4. Shark and the Bells are may favorites but the Nexx is real nice too. Arai fits well and is comfortable, Scorpion is not used any more, and the AGV fits well, but the view opening is to small, hinders my view.

+1 to that. This site has several articles on this subject: http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/motorcycle-helmet-shapes.htm

My head is "long oval" shape. Arai used to be known for making helmets this shape, but not any more (see article above). My last helmet was an AGV Skyline; it fits great.

The Skyline has a flip-down internal tinted visor. I don't know how I lived without this feature before. For several months a year, when I was commuting to work in the early morning, I'd leave the house in the dark but the sun would be coming up RIGHT in front of me for the last 5-10 miles of my commute. I either had to stop and change to a tinted visor part way to work or squint and bear it. The flip down tinted visor works great, and I never have to bring along a 2nd visor.

As other said. 100% about fitting your head. I tied NEXX and it did not work for me. For me it is HJC RPHA 10
