To address any confusion, Atlantic Metals division of BGI is a manufacturer of fabricated metal equipment in the architectural, electrical and lighting businesses. We are not in the scrap metal business. We make things. We make them here in Jersey, in the USA, with American engineers, American ingenuity, and American skilled labor. Been at it for over 30 years. We know how. EBR is intact and in good hands. Thanks for keeping the faith! More to come. Time to get to work...

Oh hell yes. :thumb:

I see good things ahead, so long as this new owner establishes a good advertising and marketing program where people recognize our American brand like they do the foreign super bikes.

I like what I'm hearing. :thumb: So far we've really only had EBR as a tiny American company followed by EBR owned largely by an Indian company, but now we finally have EBR as a capable, purely US company with bikes in production and new bikes to come. And Mr. Belfer seems to know what he's doing. This may be one the most exciting moments in Erik Buell's long, strange trip.

The assault charge is certainly interesting. In some ways less about the assault - since if he's working security, s*** happens - but why is he working security at concerts? I guess maybe for the same reason some motorcycle manufacturers play guitar in blues/rock bands during their free time.

There are also EBR sections to the Buell forums www.badweatherbikers.com (probably the oldest Buell forum) and www.buellxb.com . You have made a lot of Buell and EBR owners very happy!

I'm very hopeful to still get a chance to race my new 1190RX this season, and in seasons to come! I just need parts availability......
I can't wait to represent EBR on the track and educate fellow riders.

Welcome to our addiction! For some reason I knew EBR would survive, took a lot of guff from my track and street buddies, I told them Erik may be down be he is not out!
Thanks for making my statement a reality!!! :bannana:

This is great news. As an owner of an 07 TT, I have been disappointed in the way Harley handled Buell before and after discontinuing the brand. It was a bad mix from the start with all but a handful of dealers caring about supporting the brand. If it wasn't for Al at American Sportbike, I would have given up long ago.

Hopefully, with a new owner and a realistic business plan the new line can continue. I wish Mr Belfer, Eric, dealers who have hung on, and returning employees the best. We're pulling for you.

Dear Faithful,

I'm obviously up to my ass in alligators over here, and working on a Saturday, so I can't hang out online. But I've heard/read/been told there are questions in various forums, etc., and pics of some of my collection of bikes that have people confused. So:

I have/still own:

1978 Puch Maxi
1976 Motobecane V50
1970 Honda CL350
1971 Honda CL350 Sportsman Racer
1971 Triumph Bonneville
1971 Norton 750 Commando
1994 Kawasaki ZX11
1965 Vespa
1998 Harley Davidson Road King
2002 Yamaha R1
2006 Ducati SC1000

Basically, if it has two wheels and an engine, I dig it.

As to other speculation, "First rule of Fight Club is?"

Oh, and "Mr. Belfer" was my dad. Bruce is my name.

Bwahaha! Nice to know someone has similar problems to mine.

1965 Yamaha Cross Country
1973 CL350
1973 CL450
3x 08 Buell 1125r
08 1125r that is now a cr
07 Softail Delux
08 Electraglide
12 1190RS
14 RX
14 SX
02 X1 (with my son)
14 Ducati Monster 696 (with my daughter)

Most of my cars are junk though, so I figure it is o.k.

Welcome to the board. There are some good folks on here.

Bruce & Buell.
It doesn't get more American than this.
The faithful has always been faithful, Erik been through it all and we were in it with him.
We are still here and ready for more.
The artist/engineer needs someone on his side of the ring to allow him and his american engineers to keep thinking out of the box and produce the impossible.
American sportbikes, American off road bikes and bikes we cannot yet comprehend.
I cannot wait for the things to come.
Now I know I can go rail some corners IN THE MORNING with peace of mind

Very happy with the outcome. Ready for a bright future for everyone. No other bike on the road has the soul of a Buell/EBR. Godspeed on getting the ball rolling. Looking forward to race parts and service parts availibility. Also need a dealership in NW Arkansas.

I am waiting for availability of spare parts.

Glad to see you here Bruce.

I for one am ecstatic to see that the EBR family has been adopted by a real person and not some corporate entity. Someone that gives a ****.

Here's to the good times to come!

Welcome Bruce, and best of luck to you moving the company forward!

Cool bunch of bikes you have. Since you have an SC, I thought you might appreciate this one. It is a custom based no an SC with a titanium frame modified for a monoshock and single sided swingarm. Tank is aluminum, and needed to be to have the ability to shorten the fuel pump sump enough to clear the shock.

How cool is this?! I remember tearing up after the bad news first broke. I was devastated. Now the savior comes on basically saying Hakuna Matata, check out my bikes. What a great time to be alive.

When the RX unveiled I wanted one more than any new bike ever. Unmatched pragmatic elegance.

Bruce welcome from all Buell riders you saved us. I wish I could help you by buying a 1190 EBR the wife said no way at my age so I have to keep my 1125R with 42,000 miles. Make any parts you can for all Buell models. I will take any of the 350 EBR you don't want ha ha.

Bruce,

Thank you for stepping in and saving EBR as it sounds like you are going to do. I can't wait for parts to become available so I can get my 1190RX back up and going to full speed so I can show these nay say'rs what EBR is about.
I purchased my EBR about 20 days prior to EBR closing the doors. It was a sad time for us all.
Thanks again for putting a great tear in my eye!

I hear ya Doug! I was a step further, had my resume all looking nice thinking it was a time in my life where I needed to something I had passion for. Was going to run it up to EBR and try and put my talents into something I believe in, but for some reason held off. News came a couple weeks later. Crazy.. broke my heart.

Hows the old yellow bike?

Same here, crazy! I was nearly to the point of doing my resume. I'd read their career page over and over all the time and would always daydream how cool it would be to barely move and work where my favorite bikes were made. I really needed a change and still do. Likewise, I just want to be around something I have a passion for.

And thanks for asking, the old yellow bike is in pieces and still has a ways to go. I found a ton of new old stock parts. It'll be mostly black with some yellow accents. Hopefully in the next summer or two. I really love it and will hold onto her forever if possible!

I for one would love to see someone link a video of Bruce Belfer riding a beautiful 1190RX or SX even if its borrowed. I am sure there are probably a whole slew of people near him that would gladly let him borrow theirs for a riding opportunity. We should make this happen, wish I was closer.
