Has anyone tried putting a PCV on their RX yet? I have used them in the past with good luck but wasnt sure how it would work with the programming protocol on the new EBR. Please give me your input.........thanks!

Lots of people are using them with reported great success.

I remember on the Buell 1125 that you couldn't make any adjustments to the ignition timing. Do you have any idea if ignition timing adjustments are enabled on the PCV for the 1190?

No PCV timing adjustment.
This is why I haven't bought one.

Sadly so far no one has any idea of the ecu programming protocol used on the 1190. What other options do we have?

thanks a lot for that Red93stang. Would you happen to know if the Race ECM is unlocked for programming?

Yes open and ready for programming the way I understand it.

cool. I just need a cable and program. Now if we could just find a way to update the cluster......

I've been running a PC-v on mine since late April. It's done quite well for me up to this point and definitely picked up some power in conjunction with the exhaust I stuck on it. Dynojet has the map on their site to match the exhaust.

I agree, someone needs to find the updated software and a way to update clusters.

For the clueless...what updates are there that you talk about in the dash cluster ?

Red93stang, have you used these ecm & programs before?

There is a cluster firmware version 2.0 that was loaded onto some of the later built RX and SX models (after Juneish 2014 I think, not sure though). Mostly what I know that this will remedy is a few pesky errors that are a bit erroneous. Rear O2 sensor error, O2 heater error, etc. I have had these issues on mine and have replaced the O2 sensors in question with known good ones to test the issue and the problem (error) stays with the cluster not the sensor. I'm sure there are other tweaks with the version 2 cluster firmware but regardless we definitely need a way to update that to keep up with the ongoing developments that EBR was making with each passing month.

I have not, at the moment I am just trying to get my bike back on the road.

Red93stang,

What happened to your bike that you're having trouble getting it back on the road? Do you have any updates for us, or maybe a dyno run with the new updates?

How easy is the software to update that ECM?

I haven't used any of the products, mine is completely stock. I haven't been able to ride it long enough to justify spending any money on aftermarket mods unfortunately. I have it all back together and I'm hoping for the best today. I'll update my thread with what happens today.

What has been going on with your bike that you had to take the thing down and apart?

I hadn't made it to that topic yet, but I'm glad you are going to be able to give it a shot today... Good luck Red93Stang
