:thumb: I remember when we first saw the photos of the "Barracuda" (shortly after the Buell closer which made it beyond frustrating) one of the things I was most impressed by was the very light tail - key in keeping the mass-centralized. This sub-frame along with minimalized seat, lithium battery etc. helps keep that part sticking up in the air very light and that helps the key 'flickability'. I'd love to see a little more depth than this. Let's see the engineers who worked on it. Let's see some photos of the actual manufacturing of this part. This one little item probably filled many hours of many days for many people who worked on designing it and bringing it to production. And now there are probably still people who don't do much more than make this part every day. It would be interesting to get a taste of how much goes into a part like this to go from prototype to finished bike and beyond.

I like the display though I wish it had a nice bright LED shift light like my Mille.

The display is cool and it provides more information than a standard cluster while weighing less and taking up less space . . . But I have to admit I'd prefer two old-fashioned big, round white gauges.

But I am digging this Tech Tuesday thing big-time and looking forward to seeing more!

I cool addition to this thread might be, a Tech Tuesday from the riders that like to tinker. Give other insight into their own EBRs.

For those of you who are wondering about the exhaust. It's still under the bike! The resonator is what you are seeing and its there for a reason worth having.

"The wheels are not the same!" you say. That's because they do different jobs!

Did "Tech Tuesdays" die out? I just stumbled across it, and think its great marketing and information for owners....

Hopefully it comes back. Or something similar.

Reading Tech Tuesdays had a lot to do with me choosing to buy an EBR. I think EBR should continue to post Tech Tuesday tidbits to support the brand. It sells bikes.

Though I imagine they may someday run out of tech for tech tuesday, but I'll take anything they give me. I enjoy all of it. I suppose there's nothing wrong with reposting them now and then.

The front and rear wheels on this bike is forged - so told me my serviceman.
I also heard that engine has titanium rods. Can anyone confirm this information?

The wheels are cast, but they are about as light as many after market forged jobs. The only way to get any lighter is with magnesium or carbon fiber both of which are illegal for race use just about everywhere. It's part of what ticks me off when people say the bike isn't affordable! WHAT THE? You're getting a race weight:
subframe,($400-800)
faring stay( $150-650)
wheels, ($3000-7000)
520 Chain & Sprockets ($300)
Multi Position rearsets ($400-800)

and all that is stuff you would be changing on a Panigale or RSV4 even if you opted for the big money S or FF versions. Get rid of the noid and the secondary muffler and you're getting close to the same wet weight as the Panigale, get rid of the BOAT ANCHOR factory cat/exhasut combo and you're right there with fancy Panigale R in weight, go with carbon fiber body work from an RS and the uber duper expensive Marchenesi race wheels and you will have to add ballast to make weight. Sorry for the rant.

I agree with all above.

About the wheels. My rim is slightly deformed after the road accident. He began to align and had some difficulties. Had to be heated this wheel in a special method. Nothing like wheel of Japanese bikes, or wheel of Aprilia DD1200. Therefore, we think that wheel of EBR is forged aluminium.

If I recall correctly, they came up with a new casting process based on ablation casting (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ablation_casting) for the wheels.
