I have an SX with a race ECM. I read somewhere that I can take out the solenoid without anylight caming on. True?

Why pull it? Just for the sake of weight?

From what I understand at some point it closes the throttle ??? I want to be in control of that if that is the case? and it gives you more working room .

Yeah but we all have the ecm delete for that option. So why remove it after it is disabled?

Because it weighs like 5 lbs (just a guess).

It weights just under 2 lbs , JMO not needed, get it gone, pure and simple. Bruce Jenner would agree. LOL

It is surprisingly heavy and mounted high up top. I'm no gram-chaser, but I took a couple minutes to remove it. Because why not?

What about the cable?

What about it?

Take it off with the solonoid. I even went so far as to safety wire the spring loaded butterfly that it attaches too. Probably overkill but theres a thread on here about it.
