Howdy All,

After digging through the manual, I have found the procedure for removing the rear wheel, but there is no reference for the giant nut on the rear axle. What size is it? 34mm or 36mm?

I figured out most of the torx sizes by necessity, but I don't have a socket big enough to get that rear axle nut off...

Thanks for any answers!

I use a 18" adjustable open end. Fits all my bikes.

Whitworth used to drive me nuts!! Couldn't what went where. Some of the Triumph was Whitworth & some of it was SAE, Then they went to Metric. Damn it!

36mm.

That's what I thought. I don't have my Volkswagen engine flywheel nut socket any more, so I'll have to get me a new one!

Thanks for the VW thought I went threw my VW stuff and found a 36mm 3/4 drive with a 1/2 adap, and checked it with a torque wrench and wow clicked right at 100 Ft . Thx

Hahaha! Thats right! I wondered why I happened to have a random 36mm socket in the misc drawer... My old "Berm Warfare" sandrail from back in the day. 2110cc Type IV. I'll look for a pic.:astrosmiley:
