Is this the one your talking about because I get a couple different rotors when I search it

Found it on the E bay can't find if it is the same width? I think our rotors are a little different like 5mm and the old ones are 6mm. And the new ones are vented but that's not a biggie. Help me out the width thing?

In the thread he said the I.D was 120 of the sprocket and hub O.D was 117. I see it has worked for him and you but I was always under the notion that those were supposed to be a interference fit??? The bolts or studs just lock the chain wheel to the rim, and all centering is done with that hub to sprocket fit. I could be wrong

Cooter

The front brake rotors are the same for XB, 1125 and 1190's. 5mm or 6mm won't matter. Just get your preference.

The stock rear sprocket is hub centric at 117mm but certainly not an 'interference fit'. The slightly bigger hub diameter on the steel JT sprocket shouldn't make any difference. IMO, I'd put a small (1-1.5mm) o-ring on the hub to center it and torque to spec. If one comes out with a 117mm hub I'd buy it, but for now the 120mm works just fine on my SX.

Yeah I figured the small different in 5mm to 6mm wouldn't seize the rotor but just had to throw it out there. So use a xb rotor on ebr if you can't find a oem one.

You know what I ment by "interference" as in mesh, snug. All my other bikes sprockets fit nice. Haven't had one all sloppy and just snug my bolts down and call it a day is all I am saying. Not saying all bikes are this way, but if it works it works. Good to know. I will throw it up

Parts for upgrading to Ohlins Steering damper if you feel the need to have an adjustable steering damper. You only need one of the small sleeves to make it fit. Basically one of the holes on the damper is to large for the stock mounting hardware. Just press the sleeve into the hole and you are all set. I was able to do the press work with a set on channel locks.

I saw a post on Facebook over the weekend that an O-ring for a Ford Focus water pump is a perfect match for the fuel pump O-ring for Buell XB's, which I'd guess is the same as the 1190's.

1678

I'd have some concern about material compatibility, but if the size is right, it'd certainly work in a pinch.

Edit- I checked the material and it's Nitrile, which is OK for gasoline. It will swell 5-10% over time, but shouldn't break down.

Cleanable/reusable metal mesh oil filter. I run them in all my bikes. Super flow and they let you know if you have any issues with the motor when you clean them. Well worth the money if you change oil often like I do. It saved me a lot of motor repair once when I found needle bearing particles in the filter.

Quick shifters from NCCR - i received mine from his first production and i couldnt tell the difference between his and the one that i got from EBR last year. They did a great job taking over the production of these. They also found some cost savings during production and passed that on to the consumer - they gave me a $30 credit after i recieved the parts. When is the last time that you had that happen? Great people to work with and they are in stock now.

I saw this posted on Facebook earlier this week. Guy said they came up with rear sprocket quickly after he requested one, and he is talking to them about developing a front sprocket.

Nice I wouldn't even mind the front aftermarket sprocket used the rubber dampers still

$146!! Supersprox Stealth rear. A little pricey. I paid less than $100 for my Tuono rear.

What are the benefits of theirs????

It uses a steel-toothed section mounted on an aluminum carrier. 3 times the life of an aluminum sprocket but much less weight than an all-steel sprocket.

If the price reflects the quality I am good with it.

It is a great sprocket, don't get me wrong. light & strong. Been running them on my 03 Tuono for years. But the price for the EBR one is high.

Update on front sprocket from Supersprox, posted to the EBR 1190 Owners Group on Facebook by Dallas Beranek:

Sooooooo great news everyone..... I've been in contact with supersprox in regards to our front and rear sprocket problems. They've already made a file and part number for our rear sprockets in any tooth you want (41-47) in their stealth model that is an aluminum center and steel teeth hybrid thats is decently priced for the quality and longevity of the product. So now here's the reason I'm making a second post about this....... They've agreed to making a replacement for our front sprocket that will have a replaceable "consumable" sprocket that bolts to a machined piece that replaces our unit. The only catch is that we will have to do a group buy of 50 units to start to make the necessary tooling and machining processes. This is a feeler post to see if we have 50 people interested enough and then they will be giving me a price soon. I told him that if they were priced close to $200 and replacement sprockets $40-$50 that I think it shouldn't be a problem.

if you're on FB, post up and let him know if you're interested.

Can we change the info for the Ohlins steering damper, specifically the bushing kit. Instead of the a14010200ux0631 number, can we put “Oilless Bearing Sleeves Composite Bushing 6mm x 8mm x 8mm” instead?

Cooter
12-18-2017, 03:59 PM
It's already in a rod end. Any 6mm to 8mm sleeve material will do. Aluminum is fine.

I see you list Buelltooth as a dongle for EBR. Isn't the baud rate different? Does the diagnostic function and ECM parameters work? I don't believe there's any tuning options (yet).

NGK CR9EIX Iridium. Got them on line for $1 more than standard.

phelan
12-31-2017, 05:39 PM
They only have quick shifters for EBRs to my knowledge. There are no aftermarket tuning options for EBRs. The only option is an IDS programmable ECM, sold through IDS or EBR.

Kid Thunder

Not sure what you are answering but Buelltooth sells one as well as NCCR out of Sweden. The Buelltooth is cheapest & looks good. I have one but haven't installed it yet.

I got the ZX-14 brake lever for the SX master and it needed the plunger pin hole deepened so it didn't depress the piston too far (aka old Buell issues) and the stop light switch pin was in the total wrong spot, drilled and tapped a 1/4"-20 shouldered bolt for a switch stop to make it work, but in my opinion, not at all a drop in replacement.

You're correct. I also tried installing the ZX14 brake lever today and it did not work. Sorry for the bad info guys! Clutch lever works though.

It's closer than nothing if you've got the skills to change it.

My set-up is all on an '08 STT anyway. Modded ZX-14 aftermarket lever on an EBR radial 19mm master, Ducati Monster smoked reservoir, stock line and ZTL2 caliper. So for me, $29 and the mods were worth not spending $189 for ONE EBR lever... Yikes. What a kick ass upgrade to the XB!

I ran the CRG ZX14 brake lever & it works fine. 7000 miles. The lever kit comes with different pieces for different bikes for the brake light. I think the one I used was fo a 600 Kawi. It's in the instructions. If not just give them a call & they will tell you.

I got the correct CRG RC2 lever. It is the one for the 2005 Kawasaki ZX-6R (Part # 2RN-511-T-B). I have installed it and confirmed that it's working as OEM.
