I found this post last night at the Cycle World magazine forum, dated 10 March 2014:

Went by HD of Glendale today and learned Harley-Davidson has nixed their
plans to distribute EBRs. H-D will only allow EBRs to be sold out of a separate
facility and HD of G can't make that degree of $$$ commitment, so no EBRs. Too
bad since that particular dealership was one of the few that embraced Buells
more than half-heartedly.

I suspect lawyers are involved somehow.

Has anyone else heard anything like this?

To my knowledge Harley Davidson tries to have exclusive floor space deals when possible with all its dealers. My dealer in Texas has two buildings. Goe Harely and Goe EBR/Kawasaki. They still do a ton of Buell work and parts on the Harley side, the bikes just aren't in the same showrooms.

Hal's Harley-Davidson/EBR in New Berlin, Wisconsin has 'em. www.halsebr.com

Isn't this sort of thing an anti-trust violation?

I know this is an old post, but I just noticed it. I definitely bought my RX off the showroom floor of a Harley dealer last March.

The only issue is the harley store must be the one to approach EBR to be a dealer. EBR can not approach any harley store to be an EBR dealer no matter how great the harley store was to buell owners
