Does anybody change out the spark plugs at the first service? If so what do you put in ?

First service is at 620 miles, not required. Oil/filter change only, go over the entire bike with wrenches/sockets, etc. Clean, adjust and lube the chain, yes it will need it by 600 miles.
Second service at 6200 miles, yes, I changed mine. Stock NGK plugs, I bought a couple of 4 packs of them.

Where are they located, under the fuel tank?

Fuel is in the frame.

To change the plugs, you'll have to remove the airbox cover, throttle body, airbox, and coils. If it's apart for a valve adjust at (6000 or more), all that stuff is off already so you could replace them but if your tune is good, I doubt you'd need to. Plugs on newer cars can last 100,000 miles so 600, 6000, or 12,000 on a motorcycle is nothing.

I'm at 11k miles on original plugs. Runs great.
