Has any body put a wave rotor on the 1190 ? Is it any better than the stock rotor? I have one had plans of putting it on one of my XBs , I have been told it will fit.

I would say no one has tried it yet.still a lot of opportunity to be the "test case" on these bikes

It should fit, but I don't think it would mount up well. Make sure you get the updated mounting kit from ebr

When you say updated, How has it been updated? I have a curious mind.

Why not use the OEM rotor; they are a proven performer and still readily available?

Just like the wave rotor look, and I have one, and learning as I go along.

I don't think the hardware is updated. I got a message from EBR tech & it's just the stock hardware that, they say, should be replaced every time the rotor is removed.

FWIW: about 1 LB lighter. 2 1/2 vs 3 1/2 Lbs.

Probably if swap is from old age or wear, but just a swap from a low milage OEM disk to a Braking I would think the original

mounts would be ok.

I know Twin Motorcycles (Buell shop in the Netherlands) sells and installs a lot of Galfer front rotors, so I e-mailed them and asked about it:

In theory it will fit, pattern is the same

There was a issue regarding the “fixed” EBR disk mounting [Comment- this is the updated EBR mounting system for XB's] regarding the Galfer was a little thicker, and this would give problems with the heat expansion of the disk, but all the new production disk from Galfer have been revised to 5 mm ( as the stock / EBR mount)

So this would be no longer a issue

Sounds like these disks should work OK.

Yeah, the EBR tech did mention stock XB rotors. Maybe that's the difference.
