Low gearing Race ECM

Will there be a problem running a low gearing race ecm/tips with the stock gearing? Don't have the 44t sprocket yet?

From what I've read it *may* effect the gear change indicator or speedo and the rest of it is the same.

No effect on speedo, it reads from the tone ring at the rear wheel. It will show 2 of the same gear, ie; 3rd will show twice, no 6th gear indicated.
