Just looking for suggestions.

1. I'm a fan of Engine Ice, but it's propylene glycol, not the ethylene glycol called for by the manual. Anyone found a good EG one they're happy with?

2. Not a fan of the stock mirrors on the SX. Any feedback/photos on some bar-end mirrors would be appreciated.

3. I just installed the race ECM and tips last week. It rains a lot here in FL, and looking at the angle of those tips I thought it might be a good idea to cover them after they cool so a pop-up rain shower doesn't soak the muffler box down below. Am I over-thinking this? Maybe there's a more elegant solution than a wal-mart bag and one of my wife's hair bands... on the off-chance I forget to check the forecast before I decide to take the SX to work that day.

I wouldn't worry about the rain.

I've had two kinds of bar end mirrors and each have their place. I like these eBay specials because they don't vibrate as much for whatever reason. They don't fold/rotate out of the way like the other bar end mirrors do (with the same lense shape).

M1 is right about the rain. It will evaporate in a matter of miles. More moisture builds up inside from those quick 30 second cold starts. (You know the ones: the start, show off the sound with a few throttle blips, and then shut down the bike before it warms up much; like the dealers do or drunk friends showing off their new pipes.)

Thanks for the pic. I have a set of Arrow flip-ups from Rottweiler Performance on my KTM 690 enduro and love them, but $$ and I don't see a need to flip them up for a street bike. I'll take a look around eBay and see if I can find yours.

I have the CRG Arrow bar end mirrors and they have been perfect. Being able to to fold them up has been nice if I'm in the garage with other vehicles and don't want to risk knocking into it - or if I'm parked at a bike night next to other bikes and I don't want to worry about anyone else bumping into them.

buell fan: do you think that the mirror bracket could be flipped so that the mirror would be on the bottom? Just a thought.

Both style of bar end mirrors can be flipped under with plenty of room by the frame/tank. You just switch which bar end you put them on; all there is to it.

Did you have to do any drilling for the mirrors?

Have any issues installing? Looking to buy CRG arrows but I read somewhere that some drilling might need to be done to fit well

I went with large end adapters , And drilled 3/4" in little way in very easy to drill bar being aluminum ,very securely mounted.

By the way I've used the CRG Arrow mirrors with the Rhino mounts which make the best set up for strength bbecause the are turned to fit inside the step down of the bars. Also my bike fell over in the driveway & I crashed it a few weeks ago & the mirrors just flipped up & were not damaged! Amazing!!

Haha nice! So the rhino mounts fit better in the bars? Good to know! I'm bad with my hands so I'm nervous to put a drill to my bar end. Knowing me id mess up somehow!

I am currently running a CRG Hindsight Lane Splitter mirror on the Left side only, it's a very wide angle lens.

Did you have to do any drilling for the mirrors?

Nope. Just pop off the handlebar cap with a screwdriver and they install easily.

Here is my CRG Lane Splitter set up...
Have it on the left only due to the wide angle.

EBR Rider. I can't help it! It's in my jeans!! I crashed my 03 Tuono twice & it still looks as good as new! You should my xrays!!! The last 5 rib crash only broke one new rib! The other 4 had been broken before!

The nice thing about the Arrows is that they fold up & down.
