Didn't see a thread about this and found these on the net. Thought this would be helpful for people looking for accessories. Please post up any windscreen pictures you have, or come across. Thank you.

If there's already a thread about this that I missed, feel free to shut this one down. Thanks!

Looks like this one is from PowerBronze. http://www.powerbronzeusa.com/23860261/818269/831928/LIGHT-SCREEN---EBR-,1190SX,-14-15-(280-MM)---IRIDIUM-BLUE.item

I saw both of them & I like the one from Sweden much better. Looks good in the down position. Buell is in the process of make one also. I emailed them & the answer was that they don't discuss thing that are being developed. But they said they get a lot of requests.

I'll give a review in a week or two or three. Depending on shipping time from Sweden.

...luggage too, and probably bar risers and foot control lowering options to get ergos similar to the black lightning. Nothing is in stone, because like you I got the "we don't discuss..." thing. I am excited to (hopefully) see some accessories before long.

Dang. I didn't see a choice for color. Hope smoke is what I get.

Today, the weather is COLD. Along with trying to get rid of a cold, I haven't ridden since Tuesday. Monday of next week, be back near 60. Perfect.

Yeah was noted on the side but left nowhere to list the color. I sent listed it in the address section for an alternative address then I sent them a separate email. They got back to me with that answer.

I'm going to try a set of footpegs that I have laying around for a Buell that I had on my Guzzi Griso. They are a 1" drop. I was told with a little work they will fit.

I saw an interesting windscreen on a 2015 Honda NC700XLF today that might be able to be easily adapted to an SX with a set of handlebar mounts. Watcha think?

That could work out well. Looks like it needs a bit of de-badging to remove the Honad logo off the bottom of it though.

Good call. Screen will always be the mod done the day after getting a new bike!

bad thing is the plastic mounts. I used some bar end mirror clamps to secure it better.

I would love to figure out where EBR got this one from.

Fullmonte, they probably fabbed it as a one-off piece. It isn't difficult to do with that 'glass. The hard part is heating it properly so it doesn't form air bubbles, forming it to shape (without a mold), and cooling it to retain the shape.

It was custom made at EBR. Sadly, nothing came to market before production stopped, and even though they are selling parts still, I highly doubt they will release any new parts for current owners. It might be worthwhile for someone to reach out to a shop that deals with plexiglass (or similar) and see what it would cost to fab one up.

Sorry about the quality of the last pic - it's taken from a video.

Awesome. I think I'll be giving that a shot. I've had some limited success with forming plexiglass with a heatgun.

I'm curious how much it helps with the wind on the highway. seems that my head can only handle about 90-100mph, after that I can't focus on much because of the shaking. I guess this would help if trying to get into some type of tuck position, but ergos wouldn't be very comfortable for extended times.

let me know how it works out.
Thanks

Yeah, I have found on my touring bikes you either need a tall windscreen because the upright rider position or minimal to no windscreen. If you get a bad height you get even more noise from wind buffeting your helmet, if you go too low you receive minimal wind relief because you can't comfortably tuck. The huge windscreens offer enough coverage for the upright position while directing wind above your helmet and not into it - They also look horrible on street fighters, but fit great on my BMW.

I had that issue too, but I discovered the problem was with the helmet causing the wind buffeting. I got a Schuberth SR1 race helmet designed for high speed, and wind tunnel tested. They can be found at a decent price on clearance now that the new models are out.

Everything is readily available for replacement parts, and is installed without any modifications to the bike. It is somewhat adjustable.

I tried to design it tall enough to function good, but short enough to still look cool. My opinion was the visor / windscreen options for the SX were very limited at best, so something had to be done!

I am 6'2, and it does a pretty good job.. I don't have any helmet buffer, and there is really hardly any wind I would say from the air box to the bottom of my neck. It could be raised some, but cosmetically I don't like the look. Just my opinion.

You might be right when you say this hight windscreen could just rattle our noodles worse. That is probably why EBR didn't make that one windscreen we all see on the sx on the trailer, it just buffers the noggin.

I just want a windscreen on for long rides, and this one doesn't look like one of Ridley Scott's creations.. This could be the one
