Anyone else have their bodywork deforming from the heat off the header?

Yep, common enough problem. Stock muffler will melt it on the bottom as well.

No...not at all.

Maybe because I've got two layers of DEI, header wrap on my header tubes and front of the muffler..!

Mine melted right fairing near the exhaust pipe. And it's all cracked from the vibrations.
The problem is solved with the stock fairing replacement for homemade fairing from fiberglass. At the same time, I get in road accident, the stock fairing was destroyeed, so that the fate of my own made)))

I still wanted to do it in the winter and buy a Hot Bodies Racing, but I was immediately frightened that their plastic burns from the muffler.

Yeah my right side fairing melted a bit, giving waves in the finish. Belly pan melted to hell. Dean's exhaust has helped a bit.

I run first time with the new fairing only last evening. So far, no surprises. Belly pan is stock.
It is necessary to observe a couple of weeks.
