I performed my first oil change on my rx. I added 3.3quarts and it showed full. I warmed the bike up and it did show any oil. I ended up putting four quarts in and it was just a little above the minimum mark?

That seems to be what mine took too. Where in bama are you

Track bikes use four quarts to keep up with demand.

I think mine takes 3.8 quarts normally.

I don't get what the issue is with ordering Amsoil when you can order from their site.

There's no issue if you want to pay full retail price. Now if you want to save 10-25% . . .

If you pay $20 for the preferred customer membership and order enough oil for a few oil changes, it pays for itself. You get $15 off each gallon when you get the preferred membership.

Very true. Or you could save your $20 and get it from your friendly dealer that supports buellers/ebr riders ;) haha

No worries at all. Glad to see everyone is at least using the proper oil

sorry to hijack this thread, but i'm curious about the oil drain plug washers. are the 1190 and 1125 washers the same? I know that washers can be used as long as they are in good shape so i dove into my oil change on the 1125 and realized that both drain bolt were WAY over torqued and the left side aluminum washing was missing. So now I have to get a few sets of washers before I can finish the oil change, plus I have my first oil change on the 1190 coming up next week.

Just checking if I can get a good deal on a handful of each washers that they can be used for both bikes.

Thanks
Jeremy

4 qts with oil cooler drained.

Oil level checked with warming up then oil filler cap removed as per owners manual.

Is there a simple way to spin the motor without starting after completing an oil change?

Put it on a rear stand, put it in 6th gear and turn the tire by hand. This should rotate things, just not fast!
