Not that the engine is broken in the acceleration leaves me with a feeling of wantin more speed. My fastest bikes have been a 08zx6r and a 1250cc xbr. Honestly i was expecting more acceleration.

Has anyone turbocharged their 1190?

Wanting more speed? Really? Get past the break-in period and then pin the throttle above 8k RPM on the EBR. Then tell me honestly that you want more acceleration...that is if you manage to not run into whatever it is that happens to be in front of you.

I miss spoke before. I have broke it in properly. I have about 700mi. I have tried pinning the throttle back at above 8000rpm. It never seemed like a very intelligent thing to do especially when i barely know the bike.i wouldnt pin the throttle back in first gear on my firebolt.

Have you set the "mode" (or "traction" switch) to "off" ?
Makes a big difference, as does installing an "IDS" (http://idspd.com/xcart/) ECM and removing the second muffler..!

Power comes on much later than your XBR. Try setting the TC lower or turning it off. Good luck, you will need it.

Its on tc3. I never touched it. Ill turn it off. I was expecting to be doing wheelies with just the throttle in higher gears at faster mph than what ive experienced to far. Im trying to ease into it so i have a feel for her.

TC-3 pulls about 30+ hp out of the motor, at least on a dyno anyway.

Thats a lot

1. TC off.
2. Denoid.
3. Remove pneumatic hose on the clutch cover.
This is the simplest, that can be done without interfering with the exhaust system and ECU replacement.

On stock bike with a disabled TC and denoid leaves behind from a standing start Hayabusa, B-King and any 1000cc sportbike. Try to open the throttle more and gear up at 10,000 rpm. If you know and not affraid - starting every time with 4000-5000 rpm.

In everyday driving keep the engine higher 7,000 rpm in low gears. Don't drive at low revs in high gears.

This is a very fast motorcycle, but it does not feel so. Paradox.
600cc sportbikes is not a competitors anyway.

That is the stupendous thing about these bikes, despite the high rake, short wheelbase and class leading torque and hp everywhere below 11k. It is super easy to ride. I disagree respectfully when some of the comments above. This engine enjoys pulling from the lowend through the midrange. If you manage to keep it boiling above 7k in anything but first you will loose your license.

Ride it in a group and notice how easy it pulls on other machines and how they have really work the upper rpms to keep up. Notice how their tc lights are flashing and they are fighting to keep the front end down as you fire down the road. Take note of how you can really get on the brakes hard without fear of an un intentional stoppie. You can't get a sense of how quick it really is until you have a solid reference point, or a lap timer.

It's 250 handling with liter bike stomp!

Its plenty fast. I've only lost to a drag prepped zx14 on the street.

90mph in 3rd gear, TC0, whack the throttle, short shift into 4th and ride the wheelie until you desire to put it down (or up to about 140 if you want)

And yet at this bike a little torque below 7,000 rpm.
I compare 1190RX with Aprilia DD750 - below to 4000 rpm Aprilia run faster. I'm not talking about DD1200, which has a torque in full range rpm. She is torque monster. After DD1200 any sportbike not impressive acceleration to 150 km/h.

About driving license loose.
Topikstarter asked the question in first post - how to see the maximum acceleration EBR. I replied to this question.
I do not propose to go through the city with extremely high speeds, but if twisted EBR engine above 7000 rpm not, you will not find high torque. This engine lives in high rpm. It is normal for sportbikes engines.
Therefore, if you want a normal acceleration - you have to drive on the track or break the low. It is foolish to buy any sportbike for city driving at speed limit.

I dont live ib the city and im not particularly concerned about the state troopers and sheriff since they are spead pretty thin. Im more concerned about animals, other people, and operator error. I just need more time on the bike to learn how to ride it how i picture me riding it.

The 1190 makes more torque than any other liter bike at any rpm from 3K to 11k only the 1299 matches it in spots and only the 1290 super duke best it. You need a zx14 or busa to out grunt it from a stop. If you really want to see just how strong it really is, do a WOT run from about 40mph from about 4.5K. It may feel like you're not moving all that quick but even climbing though the revs you'll out run just about everything to about 150 or so.

Im liking the sound of that

The 1190 is plenty fast. I recently rode it for the first 1/2 of a track day and then switched to my CBR 1000RR which puts out 180 hp at the rear wheel. It felt underpowered compared to the EBR. CBR's are known for mid range, but it was anemic compared to the EBR. Now at 12 - 13.3K RMP the CBR really screams, but you spend more time at lower RPMs that than at the top end

That's the thing, other liter bikes make nearly all their power in the last 2k of rev range and on the tracks most we ride you simply aren't able to access that area but maybe a second or five a lap. The EBR not only makes more HP at the lower rpms, it makes about 70% of peak torque from about 4.5k and if you have a race ecu there is no step in power just smooth pull all the way to 11K. You never feel the power come on because it was on from the start! Love it!

I guess we've been talking quickness, and it's zx14 quick to about 150.

In terms of top end I've had the GPS touch 177mph(16/44) before scaring myself silly trying to make turn1 at TWS and can neither confirm nor deny the dash toppped out at 183mph in 6th at an undisclosed location.
