Any better pics of the turn around pipe? How does it sound? The APH is a stunner in every way except the volume, and the stock/tips is perfect besides the bulk...
This Forum keeps kicking me off if I write more than a few words. Why?
I did a nice write up on it and it's gone. Stupid computer BS!
It sounds like an 1980's inline 4 with a Kerker 4 into 1 exhaust. I tried to post a sound clip, but it wouldn't work? Fairly quiet at idle and cruise, but crack it open over 1/4 throttle and it has a nice rasp to it.
I used "Total Flow" 2.5" cores and 180's trimmed as needed. And a reverse cone muffler (love the look) but it was way too loud. So I then added the Supertrapp 4" end cap, but had to cut off the reverse cone part. It sits up in the cavity where the stock muff was and has better ground clearance. Then added a O2 bung for my wide band sensor.

It's super unique! Glad it worked out
Thank's. I got a lot of other stuff going on right now, but eventually I'll get it on the Dyno and post up some numbers of how it does.
I'm not really looking for more HP, just a good sound, and no cat was my main reason for doing it.

FINALLY got it to the Dyno Shop! 174 hp and 84 tq on a Dynojet.
I had to have left arm reconstruction and lots of physical therapy and couldn't ride for six months.
Then another 5 months to feel somewhat normal. Now I'm back in the saddle.

Thats pretty impressive! Well done on the pipe Are those corrected values? What else have you done to it? I'm at 168 with the APH pipe and tune.
Hey Cooter,
Yes, those #'s are STD correction, J607. Which I believe nets the highest #'s, when compared to newer SAE J1349 or uncorrected.
The operator admitted it was an older Dynojet that couldn't be updated anymore.
Here in Tucson, with the heat and summer monsoon (extra humidity), it seemed OK.
I played around with a different number of Disks with my "Butt Dyno" before going down to the shop. I have the IDS "Resonator Delete" ECM in it, which at first, I thought might not be enough, but then after the Run, it seemed too Rich to me, 11:1 to 12:1 range.
Then I talked to Tim at IDS a couple times about the A/F ratios, sent him the Dyno results, and he recommended to leave it alone.
I then pulled the Pipe off to re-do one of the mounting brackets, and found the inside to be a nice medium chocolate brown color inside. I'm Happy, and it feels faster. Although it was fast enough for me in stock form, I hated that catalytic heater under my engine here in Arizona.
